Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day was celebrated with traditional fervor and enthusiasm at the Embassy of Pakistan in Djibouti today. 

A flag hoisting ceremony was organized on the occasion in the Chancery premises.

Djibouti:(International News Desk)According to Global times News Agancy Europe,79th Anniversary of the Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with tradtional zeal and fervour at the Embassy of Pakistan Djibouti, today. At this ocassion a flag hoisting cermony was organzed at the premises of the Chancery. Later, the program was commenced with recitation of the Holy Quran. Ambassador Aqsa Nawaz presented the message of President of Pakistan and the Deupty Head of Mission Mr. Shakeel Ahmed read out messages of the Prime Minister and Deupty Prime Minister / Foreign Minsiter of Pakistan. Ambassador Nawaz in her remarks on the auspicious occasion, conveyed warmest greetings to the Pakistani community in Djibouti and highlighted importance of the day. She recalled immense sacrifices offered by our forefathers in the way of achieving Pakistan. She urged the young generation of the Pakistani community founding generation of to continue promoting Pakistan’s national interests, image and constructive contributions to the Djiboutian economy. The year 2026 holds special significance as Pakistan is commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Accordingly, a photo exhibition on the life, legacy and guiding principles of the Quaid was also inaugurated at the ocassion.At the end of the program, childerns presented national song and certificates of merit and appreciation were distributed among prominent Pakistanis. The event was attended by local officials and large number of Pakistanis and their families living in Djibouti. The community highly commended the exhibit and association of big numbers of Pakistai women, children and youth for the first time in Djibouti.
