August 14 is not just a date, it is an eternal story of sacrifices. Nadeem Paganwala
Always remember these great sacrifices thanks to which we are breathing in a free country today. Senior Vice President Pakistan Muslim League
Lahore:(Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, Senior Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League Nadeem Paganwala said that August 14, 1947 is not just a date or a day on the calendar, but a bright story of the unparalleled struggle, sacrifices and determination of the Muslims of the subcontinent, as a result of which we were blessed with an independent homeland, Pakistan. This freedom was not given as a gift, but millions of people sacrificed their lives, their homes, their honor and their dreams for it. The founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, worked tirelessly day and night, while the people supported him wholeheartedly. That day of independence was not only a day of happiness, celebration and hoisting the green crescent flag, but also carried with it the painful memory of blood, migration and countless sacrifices. Somewhere mothers sacrificed their young sons for the country, somewhere sisters lost their brothers, somewhere marriages were ruined and somewhere the shadow of the father was lifted from the heads of innocent children. Despite all these trials, the nation did not lose heart and the dream of Pakistan became a reality. Today, when we look at the current situation of our country, many questions arise in our hearts. Did we value the freedom for which our elders made such great sacrifices? Unfortunately, today problems like intolerance, hatred, selfishness and moral decline are increasing in the society, which is regrettable. He added that I wish my compatriots and overseas Pakistanis living in foreign countries a very happy 14th August, the Independence Day of Pakistan.
