Swat:(Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, Secretary for Primary and Secondary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Khalid Khan, along with Managing Director Elementary and Secondary Education Foundation (ESEF) Qaiser Alam, visited the student centers established in Swat in connection with the Summer Learning and Grooming Festival 2026. He inspected the girls' center, including the students' camp at Government Higher Secondary School Fatehpur, and took a detailed look at the ongoing educational, training and co-curricular activities, residential arrangements, facilities provided to students and overall administrative matters. During the visit, the Education Secretary met students from different districts and appreciated their excellent skills, discipline, self-confidence and full participation in the activities. He said that the Summer Learning and Grooming Festival 2026 is a practical implementation of the vision of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, under which the young generation is being equipped with quality education as well as personality development, leadership skills, creative thinking, mutual harmony and practical life skills. Muhammad Khalid Khan said that the government considers investment in youth as an investment in the future, and these students will prove to be responsible, confident and talented citizens and leaders of tomorrow. He reiterated his commitment that the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education will further expand the scope of such effective programs so that more students of the province can benefit from them. On this occasion, the Secretary Education announced that from next year, more students will be provided opportunities to participate in the Summer Learning and Grooming Festival so that more youth can benefit from this unique educational and training experience. He specially appreciated the outstanding performance of students from Kohat and awarded them with prizes. Later, the Education Secretary, in collaboration with the Elementary and Secondary Education Foundation (ESEF), distributed special school bags and track suits among the students participating in the festival, which the students received with great joy and enthusiasm. On this occasion, the Education Secretary paid tribute to the hard work, effective planning and excellent arrangements of the District Education Officer (Male) Swat Muhammad Riaz, District Education Officer (Female) Swat, Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Swat, concerned officers, teachers, focal persons and the administrative team, saying that thanks to these coordinated efforts, the students got a safe, organized, friendly and quality educational environment, which is the basis for the success of this festival. While talking to the students, he urged them to participate in the ongoing activities in a full manner and said that this festival is a unique opportunity for them to learn new skills, highlight their creative abilities, build connections with students from different districts and move forward with confidence. Under the Summer Learning and Grooming Festival 2026, students are being provided with the opportunity to participate in educational sessions as well as speech competitions, storytelling, sketching, quizzes, leadership training, team building, sports, tree planting, cultural activities and other co-curricular programs, through which their mental, physical, social and leadership skills are being developed. This festival is a practical expression of the strong commitment of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to provide the young generation with an educational environment where character building, creative thinking, national unity and leadership skills can be developed along with quality education, so that today's students can become confident and responsible leaders of tomorrow.
