The inappropriate behavior towards overseas Pakistanis should end immediately. Sajid Hussain Turi

The legitimate legal rights of overseas Pakistanis should be protected at all costs. Former Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis

Kuram:(Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, former Federal Minister Sajid Hussain Turi has expressed serious concern over the difficulties faced by overseas Pakistanis, especially citizens from former FATA and Balochistan, and said that the inappropriate behavior towards overseas Pakistanis, who are the backbone of the country's economy, should end immediately. He said that overseas Pakistanis support the national economy by sending billions of dollars in remittances to Pakistan every year, on which the government, the Ministry of Finance and the State Bank express pride, but unfortunately, when these same Pakistanis return home, they face unnecessary interrogations, harassment, offloading, passport blocking and other administrative problems at airports, which is a very regrettable and correctable situation. Sajid Hussain Turi  He said that the people of former FATA and Balochistan have been bearing the effects of unrest, terrorism and wars for the past several decades. The wars of various periods in Afghanistan, especially the regional tensions and border situations after 2001, have severely affected the lives, livelihoods and future of the people of these areas. He said that as a result of all this situation, thousands of people were forced to go abroad in search of a better future. He said that to solve the problems of Pakistanis living abroad, the federal government, especially the Ministry of Interior, should formulate a comprehensive and clear policy so that overseas Pakistanis returning home do not face unjustified harassment, off-loading, passport blocking and other unnecessary difficulties. Their legitimate legal rights should be protected at all costs. The former federal minister stressed that an indiscriminate and effective crackdown should be carried out against elements involved in human trafficking so that innocent citizens are not forced to go abroad through illegal and dangerous routes.  At the same time, better employment opportunities should be created in the country so that the youth can get decent employment and do not have to resort to unsafe means. He said that if on the one hand the passports of overseas Pakistanis are blocked, they face travel difficulties and on the other hand there is unemployment in the country, this situation creates more difficulties for them. The government should find effective, fair and humane solutions for such citizens, ease their problems and provide them with an opportunity to play their role in national development more effectively.
