Gilgit-Baltistan (Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Amjad Hussain Azar, while speaking at a departmental briefing of the Higher Education Department, said that all the projects of the colleges under construction should be completed as soon as possible and classes should be started and a better educational environment should be ensured for the students studying in the colleges. The Chief Minister directed the Provincial Secretary Higher Education to expedite the process of recruitment of lecturers under FPSC. Attention should also be paid to separating the admin and teaching cadres in the colleges. Demand subjects should be introduced in degree colleges according to modern requirements instead of traditional subjects.  In order to finalize the pending promotion cases of employees at the earliest, the recruitment rules should be presented for approval in the relevant forum. On this occasion, the Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan directed the Provincial Secretary Higher Education to start matriculation classes for special people in the Special Education Complex in Gilgit and Skardu, for which the provincial government will ensure the provision of necessary resources. The welfare and education of special people are among the top priorities of the provincial government. On this occasion, the Chief Minister gave orders to improve the polytechnic college and introduce short courses according to modern requirements and said that Chinese language will be included in the courses in all inter-colleges of the province.
