Promoting environmentally friendly policies and sustainable practices is the need of the hour. Message on the occasion of World Environment Day 

ITALY:(Special Correspondent) According to a foreign news agency, Special Assistant to the Ministry of Overseas for Italy Ikramuddin stressed the need for collective and sustained measures to protect the environment, effectively use natural resources and address climate challenges on the occasion of World Environment Day. He said that environmental pollution, climate change, deforestation, water scarcity and loss of biodiversity are serious challenges for the future. He said that Pakistan is among the countries affected by climate change, therefore promoting environmentally friendly policies and sustainable practices is the need of the hour. Special Assistant to the Ministry of Overseas for Italy Ikramuddin called on the youth to play a positive role by planting trees, conserving water, reducing pollution and adopting environmentally friendly habits in their daily lives. He added that a green, safe and sustainable Pakistan is the shared responsibility of all of us.
