Secretary Social Welfare Sharif Hussain visited the Braille Academy at the University of Peshawar.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of the University of Peshawar Johar Ali warmly welcomed the guests.

PESHAWAR:(Special Representative)According to Global times News Agancy Europe,The Honourable Secretary Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Sharif Hussain, along with his team including Director Social Welfare Mr. Saleh Mohammad, Gender Specialist Syeda Nudrat, Deputy Director Mr. M. Naeem, and AD PCRDP Ms. Palwasha, visited the Braille Academy at the University of Peshawar.Mr. Johar Ali, Vice Chancellor of the University of Peshawar, warmly welcomed the guests.Chairman, Department of Social Work, Mr. Shakeel Ahmad, accompanied the delegation and briefed the guests on the functioning and activities of the Braille Academy.The Secretary Social Welfare assured full cooperation for the strengthening of the Academy and extension of the MoU to ensure its sustainability.At present, seven students from the Department of Social Work are receiving training in Braille at the Academy.However, more students are encouraged and welcome to join the Braille training Program.
