VC Gomal University Dr. Zafar Iqbal met with Commissioner Dera Division Dawood Khan.

Dr. Zafar Iqbal gave him a detailed briefing about the ongoing educational and administrative measures in the university.

Dera Ismail Khan:(Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, Vice Chancellor of Gomal University Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal met Commissioner Dera Division Dawood Khan in his office and gave him a detailed briefing about the ongoing educational, administrative and other reform measures in the university. During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor also informed about the ongoing development projects and future proposed measures in Gomal University. On this occasion, various issues related to the promotion of higher education, institutional development, student welfare and improvement of educational quality were discussed.  Commissioner Dera Division Dawood Khan appreciated the efforts made by Gomal University for educational improvement and development and assured all possible cooperation for the promotion of quality education in the region. At the end of the meeting, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal presented his book “Islamophobia” to Commissioner Dera Division Dawood Khan. The book discusses in detail the growing trend of Islamophobia in Western societies, negative perceptions about Muslims, their causes, various manifestations and their possible solutions. The author has also shed light on the role and responsibilities of the Muslim world in dealing with this problem. Commissioner Dera Division Dawood Khan, terming the topics raised in the book as important, expressed interest in studying it and also assured to visit Gomal University soon.
