The University of Haripur, Department of Law, conducted an educational visit to the District Judiciary Haripur under the auspices of Head of Department Ms. Saira Ali with the aim of exposing the students to the judiciary in a practical manner.
Haripur:(Special Representative)According to Global times News Agancy Europe,The University of Haripur, Department of Law, conducted an educational visit of District Judiciary Haripur arranged by Head of Department Ms. Saira Ali for the purpose of providing students with practical exposure to Judiciary.The visit was designed to familiarise students with the role of District Judiciary, its structure and functions for enhanced understanding of the students through first hand observation.Deligation comprising of 2nd semester students, led by Ms. Saira Ali (HOD) and Mr. Aitizaz Khan (Lecturer) was warmly welcomed by Mr. Muhammad Aqib (admin Senior Civil Judge), Mr. Abdullah (Civil Judge), Mr. Waqar Ahmad (Judicial Magistrate - III), and Adv. Mr. Assad Saeed (President District Bar Haripur).The deligation, seated in judicial conference room, was given a brief introduction of district judicial system by Mr. Abdullah and afterwards, Mr. Waqar Ahmad briefed the deligates on criminal judicial process, responsibilities of sessions judge as well as judicial magistrates.Students had an interactive session with Mr. Asghar Shah (Additional District & Sessions Judge), in which, he provided detailed answers to queries of students and motivated them. He also advised the students to focus on studies and work hard to achieve their goals in life. Adv. Mr. Assad Saeed, Adv. Mr. Aziz Khan and others, Mr. Shahid Shah Mehboob (member KPK Bar Council) also interacted with the students and informed them on importance of ethics in legal profession and guided them about future carrier opportunities in law profession for young graduates. Afterwords, Mr. Muhammad Aqib and Mr. Assad Saeed led the students to observe ongoing court proceedings in the courts of Mr. Shah Faisal (Additional District & Sessions Judge - VI), Mr. Imtiaz Ullah Khan (Judicial magistrate - I), Mr. Sharifullah (civil judge - II) and lastly, Ms. Brekhna Hameed (family judge), they also had the privilege of interacting with the Hon'able presiding judges. The deligation was then taken on a guided tour of the Court's record room, Institution branch, copying branch and FIR desk where they were informed about case management system, procedure of receiving verified copies including FIRs respectively.A group photo with President DBH, Sessions judge and Senior Civil Judge was taken at the steps of Bar association compound to comemorate this visit.Lastly, Ms. Saira Ali (HOD) along with the deligation extended her appreciation for kind facilitation in all areas with special thanks to Mr. Assad Saeed and district bar association, Mr. Asghar Shah, and Senior Civil Judge with aspirations of continued collaboration in the future.
