Special Assistant on Prisons Iftikharullah Jan paid a brief visit to the Inspector General of Prisons.

He was welcomed by Inspector General of Prisons Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rehan Gul Khattak on the occasion.

Peshawar:(Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Prisons, Mr. Iftikharullah Jan, along with his team, paid a brief visit to the Inspector General of Prisons. Inspector General of Prisons Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rehan Gul Khattak welcomed them. DIG (Headquarters) Ms. Neelam Sultana Khattak, DIG (Judicial and Security) Amin Shoaib, DIG (Finance and Planning) Mr. Hashmatullah, DIG Hazara Region Umair Khan, Superintendent Central Jail Peshawar Muhammad Waseem Khan and Superintendent Central Jail Abbottabad Junaid Khan were also present on the occasion. Inspector General of Prisons, Rehan Gul Khattak gave a brief briefing on the Prisons Department. He informed about the ongoing activities, reforms and various projects in the prisons, while also highlighting the achievements of the Prisons Department. Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa  Special Assistant on Prisons, Iftikharullah Jan assured that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will take effective and practical steps to resolve the problems faced by the prisons department at all levels during its tenure. He added that through teamwork, all the prisons of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be converted into correctional centers.
