Historic First-Ever Khuli Kacheri & Awareness Session by Provincial Khatoon Mohtasib Rubab Mehdi in Dera Ismail Khan

Dera Ismail khan:(Special Representative)According to Global times News Agancy Europe,In a landmark initiative for strengthening access to justice and promoting women’s rights in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the first-ever Khuli Kacheri and awareness session by Provincial Khatoon Mohtasib Ms. Rubab Mehdi was held at the Deputy Commissioner Office Dera Ismail Khan in collaboration with the district administration.The session was attended by Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Division Mr. Daud Khan, Regional Police Officer Mr. Ghulam Mubashir Maken, Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Mr. Abdul Nasir Khan, DPO Dera Mr. Ziauddin Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Principal Government Degree College No. 1 Ms. Aafia Saadat, representatives of the Education Department, officers from various line departments, members of the legal fraternity, students from Gomal Medical College, and participants from multiple educational institutions and civil society organizations.The event witnessed participation of approximately 950 participants, particularly women from across educational institutions, public departments, and different segments of society. During the Khuli Kacheri, several complaints were presented by aggrieved women and citizens, and on-the-spot relief and immediate directions for resolution were issued, reflecting an effective and responsive justice delivery mechanism.Participants were comprehensively briefed on legal protections available to women, including inheritance rights, workplace harassment laws, gender-based violence prevention, human rights violations, family court procedures, police-related complaints, and FIA cybercrime complaint mechanisms. The session also highlighted accessible complaint registration through the official online platform and designated focal persons at district level.This engagement marks a historic milestone in the justice delivery landscape of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, being the first-ever Khuli Kacheri of its kind conducted by a Provincial Khatoon Mohtasib in Dera Ismail Khan, and notably the largest participation recorded in the province’s history for such an initiative, demonstrating growing public trust in institutional outreach for women’s rights protection.The initiative reflects the progressive leadership and governance vision of the Honourable Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, aimed at ensuring accessible, transparent, and doorstep justice—especially for women and marginalized communities across the province.Under the dynamic leadership of Provincial Khatoon Mohtasib Ms. Rubab Mehdi, the institution continues to expand its outreach through awareness sessions, complaint facilitation forums, and mobile access initiatives to ensure free, prompt, and effective justice delivery across all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
