Islamabad (Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has strongly condemned the brutal attack on prominent religious scholar Maulana Muhammad Idris. In his statement, he said that Maulana Muhammad Idris’ religious and academic services will always be remembered and with his martyrdom, the country has lost a great scholar. He said that such cowardly attacks are a despicable attempt to harm the peace and stability of the society, which cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. The Chairman Senate expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the family of the deceased and prayed that Allah Almighty may elevate the ranks of the martyr and grant patience to the bereaved. He also expressed his best wishes for the speedy recovery of the police personnel injured in the incident.
