ISLAMABAD:(Special Representative)According to Global times News Agancy Europe,Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani addressed the “Paigham-e-Islam” Conference in Islamabad, highlighting Islam’s universal message of peace, compassion, tolerance, and human dignity.He emphasized that the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) promote justice, empathy, and benevolence, and called for presenting the true message of Islam with clarity in today’s divided world.Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to global peace, the Chairman underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomacy over confrontation. He noted that Pakistan has consistently demonstrated restraint and responsibility in promoting de-escalation and constructive engagement.He paid tribute to the national leadership including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar for their statesmanship in advancing peace and stability.Highlighting parliamentary diplomacy, he referred to the Inter Parliamentary Speakers Conference (ISC) as a key platform for fostering global cooperation, and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening unity within the Muslim world.
The Chairman also emphasized Pakistan’s principled approach to sovereignty and security, stating that while the country prioritizes peace and dialogue, it remains resolute in defending its dignity.He called upon the international community to work collectively towards a future defined by peace, stability, and shared prosperity, reaffirming Pakistan’s readiness to lead by example.
