Islamabad:(Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, important personalities from political, social, journalistic and various walks of life held separate meetings with Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan. In these meetings, various important issues including the overall political, social and societal situation of the country were discussed in detail. A delegation led by former Federal Minister Ghalib Khan and former Deputy Attorney General Farooq Khan Nasir also met with the Deputy Chairman Senate. During the meeting, the delegation presented its suggestions on various national issues and matters related to public interest. On this occasion, Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan appreciated the ongoing savings campaign by the federal government and said that in the context of the current economic and regional situation, thrift is the need of the hour. He said that the Senate of Pakistan, as a symbol of the federation, supports the government’s policy of full implementation of the savings program and promotion of fiscal discipline. During the meeting, renowned artist Wasil Shahid also met the Deputy Chairman Senate and discussed his artworks and creative work. He also presented his artworks, which were appreciated by the Deputy Chairman Senate. The Deputy Chairman Senate, while paying tribute to Wasil Shahid’s art, said that art and artists are the guardians of the cultural identity of the society. He said that painting and other artistic expressions not only reflect cultural heritage but also play an important role in promoting peace, tolerance and harmony. He accepted the invitation of the renowned artist to organize an art exhibition in August and expressed his best wishes and expressed the hope that such activities would contribute to cultural development and promotion of positive social trends.
